The Reiki Alliance

The Reiki Alliance is an international community of Reiki Masters practicing and teaching Usui Shiki Ryoho (translation from Japanese: the Usui System of Reiki Healing).  We consider ourselves as stewards of Usui Shiki Ryoho by maintaining the time-honored form passed through the direct spiritual lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto, and Johannes Reindl.

In 1982 masters initiated by both Hawayo Takata and Phyllis Furumoto were invited to Hawaii for a meeting. The group who came to Hawaii acknowledged Phyllis Lei Furumoto as Hawayo Takata’s successor.  They decided to meet again in 1983 in British Columbia.  During this meeting, The Reiki Alliance was founded to honor the system taught by Hawayo Takata with continued stewardship of this practice. https://reikialliance.com/en/

Canadian Reiki Association

The CRA, a federally chartered and governed non-profit association, was founded in 1997 to register and represent all professional Canadian practitioners and or teachers of all styles of Reiki. We aim to ensure all registered members work within the Reiki Scope of Practice and perform to the highest standards of professionalism for clients and the public and to disseminate relevant information to all its Members in Good Standing.

The Reiki Association

The Reiki Association (TRA) was established in the UK in 1991. British in origin it is open to those with Reiki around the world. It grew out of a desire from Reiki students and Masters to be active in the support of Reiki and to create a Reiki community. TRA is now a vibrant association serving its members in the UK and overseas bringing a valuable sense of connection and of being part of a wider Reiki community.

UK REIKI FEDERATION

UK REIKI FEDERATION. We are an independent organisation of individuals who have been attuned to Reiki, with the objective of providing support and guidance to Reiki professionals and to the public, with particular reference to education and training, and the public practice of Reiki.

Since 1999, we have worked extensively on promoting Reiki and best practice for practitioners and have grown into the largest Reiki-only professional organisation in the UK and Europe. We are passionate about Reiki and we provide expertise help to our members and the general public. We are well informed and knowledgeable with a wealth of research and experience, which we aim to pass on to other professionals to increase the awareness of Reiki through education and information. Raising the Benchmark in Reiki Treatment Practice:

We know ‘credibility’ is of paramount importance! It’s one of the main challenges facing complementary therapies today, as many Reiki treatment practitioners are all too aware. 

All Reiki Australia members in the Practitioner category and above are committed to raising the benchmark on Reiki treatment practice and they each meet the highest standards.

Practitioner members are each bound by a Code of Ethics and have current Insurance and First Aid certificates as well as a demonstrated lineage stretching back to Mikao Usui. Reiki Master Teachers are only required to have insurance unless they are in a combined Practitioner category – in which case the requirements are the same. Reiki Australia professional practitioner members must also meet a range of Continuous Professional Development points (CPD) each year. Our accredited members have completed one unit or more of Reiki Australia’s course.

By aligning ourselves with the same stringent standards as our healthcare colleagues, we demonstrate we are professionals and we are proud of the service we provide.

New Zealand

Reiki NZ Inc

Reiki NZ Inc. was formed in 1994 by a group of like-minded Reiki Master Teachers.

It was created to be an affiliate of the newly formed New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners, this being the umbrella organisation for all forms of natural health modalities in New Zealand.

Reiki New Zealand Incorporated was established within the guidelines of The New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners Inc., to represent practitioners of all lineage and at each of the three levels of Reiki.

Our organisation was among the first original signatories of the founding Charter document that has become part of our history and heritage.
